Notes

CANFIS can connect to modules which use the KWP (also known as CAN) or the UDS protocol.

UDS
  • For reading preset live data ("measuring blocks") and fault codes, each UDS module requires its own file.
  • Preset live data from UDS is currently not implemented, it is a work-in-progress.
    • This does not affect the custom live data pages (ECU Data), they fully support UDS.
  • Fault codes for UDS are implemented. At the moment, you can only get UDS module files by contacting us.
Navigation units

CANFIS cannot be used if a Navigation unit is installed in the car, if it also needs to display information on the cluster.

RNS-E

For the RNS-E, there is custom firmware available, which allows parallel operation.

The feature which must be activated is called FIS-Control and it's found in the Engineering Menu. It is included in the free version of the firmware.

Diagnostic testers

When viewing custom live data (in ECU Data), or when connected to a module (in Diagnostics), you cannot use a diagnostic tester in the OBD2 port to connect to a module that is already in use.

If you wish to use a diagnostic tester, please disconnect from the module by exiting the menu.
